Godzilla Slipmat Set (2 Pieces) – Standing Godzilla & Walking Godzilla

An officially licensed slipmat set from the Godzilla Record Project, a collaboration between TOHO and Universal Music Japan. Released in Japan in April 2021 as the very first item from the project, this set is now hard to find new.

The set includes two 12-inch felt slipmats:

- Standing Godzilla – a bold, full-figure design of the King of the Monsters.
- Walking Godzilla – designed so that Godzilla appears to walk as the mat spins on your turntable. The effect is best seen when the spinning mat is filmed with a smartphone camera under certain conditions.

The paper package is the same size as an LP, so it also looks great framed or displayed on the wall.

What is a slipmat?
A slipmat sits between your record and the turntable platter to reduce friction. It lets you hold or cue a record by hand without stopping the platter, and helps protect your vinyl from scratches – an essential for DJs and record collectors alike.
